Taipei Fun Pass (Unlimited)

What it is

The Taipei FunPASS Unlimited combines unlimited public transit and attraction admission into a single swipeable card for 1, 2, or 3 consecutive calendar days. On the transit side, it covers all Taipei Metro (MRT) lines and the Circular Line, city buses in Taipei, New Taipei, and Keelung (routes with 1–3 digit numbers), and six dedicated Taiwan Tourist Shuttle routes — reaching highlights like Jiufen/Jinguashi, Beitou Zhuzihu, Muzha-Pingxi, the North Coast, and Fulong. On top of that, the Unlimited version unlocks free admission to over 30 curated sites: flagship spots like the Taipei 101 89F Observatory, National Palace Museum, Taipei Zoo, and Maokong Gondola, plus a wide range of museums, parks, and cultural venues in Taipei and New Taipei City. The pass also includes a handful of local experience vouchers or snack/souvenir perks. Note: the separate Transit-only pass covers transportation without the attractions.

Highlights

• Taipei 101 Observatory (89F) — one of the world's tallest observation decks, offering panoramic views of the Taipei Basin and surrounding mountains; free entry is included with the Unlimited pass, normally a significant paid ticket.
• National Palace Museum — home to one of the largest collections of ancient Chinese art and artifacts in the world, including the famous Jade Cabbage; admission included for pass holders.
• Maokong Gondola (round-trip) — a scenic cable car ride rising above tea-house-dotted hillsides south of Taipei; the return ticket is bundled into the pass.
• Taipei Zoo — one of the largest zoos in Asia, covering over 160 hectares with giant pandas, formosan black bears, and hundreds of other species; admission is included.
• Yehliu Geopark & Jiufen access via Tourist Shuttle — the pass covers shuttle routes to the dramatic Queen's Head rock formations at Yehliu and the winding hillside lanes of Jiufen, both among Taiwan's most photographed spots.
• 30+ museums and cultural venues — including Miniatures Museum of Taiwan, Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA Taipei), Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Gold Museum in Jinguashi, National Museum of Marine Science and Technology, and Lin Family Mansion and Garden, among others.

Good to know

• Validity is by consecutive calendar days, not 24-hour periods — a 1-day pass activated at 3 PM expires at midnight the same day, so plan to activate it in the morning for maximum value.
