What Each Tour Includes

4-stop version (Klook/KKday/GetYourGuide): Yehliu Geopark, Jiufen Old Street, Shifen (waterfall + Old Street), and Golden Waterfall. KKday runs day and night variants — Day Tour departs ~9:00am and finishes ~6:30pm; the night version swaps in lantern-lit Jiufen after dark and finishes ~8:00pm.
3-stop version (Klook/Viator): Yehliu, Jiufen, Shifen as the core loop, with route options that swap in a night Jiufen view or the quieter Tiaoshi coast instead of Golden Waterfall.
Not included on either: Yehliu Geopark admission and the Shifen sky lantern (paid on-site, per person) — confirmed on the live KKday listing. Budget a little extra cash for these.

Join Tour vs. Private, and Where They Pick You Up

Both tours are "meet at location," not hotel pickup by default — private/designated pickup is a separate, pricier option on Klook and KKday.

Taipei Main Station, East Gate 3 — meeting point for the 4-stop Klook/KKday tours. Look for the guide holding a company sign or wearing a vest.
MRT Ximen Station — meeting point for the 3-stop Klook/Viator tours.
On weekends and long holidays, coach buses can't drive directly into Jiufen due to traffic control — you may need to ride a public shuttle up (about NT$15), per KKday's current terms.
Release a sky lantern on the old railway tracks at Shifen any time the area is open, generally daytime into the evening — it's a pay-per-lantern, walk-up activity, not something you book through the tour.
