Lihpao Land is a massive resort-style amusement destination in Houli District, Taichung, built around two distinct parks. Discovery World is the year-round thrill park, home to over 30 rides spread across themed zones including Enchanted Forest, Fairy Tale Village, Palace of Dreams, Yamay Island, and the world-exclusive LINE FRIENDS TOWN. Mala Bay is the resort's seasonal outdoor water park, operating in warmer months with wave pools that generate waves up to 3 meters high — among the largest artificial waves in Southeast Asia — plus a full lineup of water slides and attractions. Beyond the rides, the resort includes the Lihpao Outlet Mall, an international-standard go-kart raceway (Lihpao International Raceway), and the on-site Fullon Hotel for overnight stays. Good to know

• Mala Bay is seasonal, typically operating from around May through September or October depending on the year. Check the official resort site before booking if water park access is a priority for you.
• Getting there from Taipei: the most convenient option is the HSR to Taichung station, then a shuttle bus or taxi to Houli (the resort is roughly 20–30 min from Taichung HSR station). Direct express buses from Taipei Bus Station are also available and take around 2 hours.
• Combo tickets combining Discovery World and Mala Bay are usually available and offer better value than buying each separately; online booking through platforms like Klook or KKday often unlocks additional discounts or coupons versus buying at the gate.
• Gravity Max has height and health restrictions (typically minimum height around 130 cm and advisories against riding for guests with heart conditions, back problems, or vertigo); check current restrictions on the official site before visiting with young children or guests with health concerns.
