The group then heads to Sumilon Island — the Philippines' first marine sanctuary, established in 1974 — for a break on its famous seasonal sandbar, which shifts shape and position around the island depending on tides and currents. The tour wraps at Moalboal on Cebu's southwest coast, where snorkelers join the massive sardine baitball around Pescador Island, a marine park in the Tañon Strait known for its cathedral cave dive site and reef walls dropping to 40 meters.
