What it is

Standing 421 metres tall on a forested hilltop, Menara KL (KL Tower) is Southeast Asia's tallest telecommunications tower and one of the world's top ten. Visitors can choose between the indoor Observation Deck at around 276 m — climate-controlled with wraparound city views — or the open-air Sky Deck at 300 m, which includes the suspended glass Sky Box that juts out over the KL skyline. From either level you get unobstructed sightlines over the Petronas Twin Towers, the Merdeka 118 supertall, and the green canopy of the Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve that surrounds the tower's base.
